I have been using the MTXConnect service for the past 5-6 years, with 2 physical sim cards and now an e-sim. Prices are good, activation is simple. It allows not only to be online on holidays or business trips outside your home country or area, but also on stopovers in third-countries when using, say, a EU service might be quite expensive. I have not looked into newer or other services since signing up, but feel no need for that quite frankly.
